Maybe so.
I doubt that he would have though.
Most people don’t hack others by manually installing viruses onto people’s computers.
Hackers usually send their viruses in a lot more secret and complex things like website cookies/files, email encryption and other methods.
Overall, I wouldn’t say he’s installed a virus onto your computer. You should just scan your computer with an anti-virus program, if it picks up anything again, just try and delete it.
From your address and phone number? umm NO!
Did they have access to your computer? Over internet or physically.
You cant be sure its gone. Run Full Virusscan and make sur eits updated. Run spyware checkers like Adaware.
Since Viper has deleted it, then you shouldn’t be still worried about it at all already. And if you are worried about people hacking into your computer, just make sure you got a strong password for your computer and an up to date windows by going to windows update regularly or just turn on the automatic update feature. Erm, by the way, if he got your house address and phone number, don’t worry about it, it has nothing to do with your computer’s security. And if you are feeling really uncomfortable regarding your computer’s security, use Windows Live Safety Scanner, at http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/defau... *Smile*
If you are not sure its gone. Reboot the PC and run the antivirus scanner again. If its not gone it will show up again as a new find. If this is the case then try starting the PC in “Safe mode” and run the antivirus scanner in this mode. It is often more successful in deleting stuff in this mode.
Another alternative using system tools is to do a system restore which with any luck will restore your PC to its state before yesterday’s date,
The trojan stated is a new high level threat. Please start up in safe mode and do a complete scan….
A Trojan virus is faulty computer program that can infect remote computers by changing the desktop or deleting important files. Generally called a Trojan Horse, it appears as a legitimate file or software from a trusted source, therefore tricking users into opening it or downloading it. Take action and protect your personal computer files by learning to delete this Trojan virus.
